Soulical Adultery by Craig Hill (audio)

Soulical Adultery audio series provides a great introduction on our hearts, how our hearts were designed, how they work, why we get so conflicted sometimes and how to begin to heal our hearts.

Craig Hill and Family Foundations International has been a friend of the Identity Project from its inception. Craig has developed an arsenal of material that is uniquely able to help God’s people not only understand God’s Word but also how to apply the Word in our given daily situations. I call Craig “a heart doctor” because he understands that so much of life flows from our hearts. We would do well to also understand our hearts, how they work, what affects them, how we can build up and not tear down our hearts. Consuming and apply Craig’s materials will go a long way to each of us becoming “a heart doctor” so that we can live the life our Lord Jesus Christ paid for us.

“The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Luke 6:45 Are our hearts full of love, peace and joy? Or are they mixed with unforgiveness, resentment, anger, confusion, doubt and unbelief? God has given each of us the job of overseeing our hearts. Like a garden, we are to be the caretakers or gardeners if you will, of our hearts, to root out the bad stuff and promote the good. Understanding and practicing the keys in Soulical Adultery will go a long way in doing just that.

God designed us to have a romantic “soul tie” with our spouse. A romantic soul tie might be defined as two married people sharing their thoughts, feelings, desires and dreams intimately, deeply and passionately.

God designed this tie to be within the bounds of marriage. Outside of marriage it is soulical (mind, will and emotions) adultery. The deception is that it almost never starts out with two people deciding to become intimate in the mind, will and emotions. But without us understanding how the heart works, many will and do fall into the trap and are snared before the realize what’s going on.

Soulical adultery is not well understood, and many people find themselves far down the road of an emotionally adulterous relationship before they even pick up the danger. Craig says, “Falling in love, (the feeling or romantic love) is neither mystical nor magical. It is a very simple sowing and reaping process. ”Once you understand the seeds of soulical adultery, you can choose to never plant those seeds and never have to battle romantic feelings toward someone to whom you are not married.

The Identity Project Sign up Starting September 19, 2016

The Identity Project is a sixteen (16) week series of weekly luncheons designed for business people that meets in the boardroom of Sterling Communications (see map below) near Lake Oswego, OR.  We meet from 12 noon – 1:30pm where we have a lunch provided, watch a 20 minute biblical teaching, share our lives and prayer concerns, fellowship and we are done promptly in 90 minutes.  Men’s luncheon’s are on Tuesday’s or Wednesdays.  The women’s luncheon is on Thursdays.  Same time, same place.

The Identity Project is unique in that it is a proven program that will help to build, or rebuild your Christian foundation.  It is discipleship in the Gospel of the Kingdom.  Many of us have been disciple in the Gospel of Salvation.  But Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom.  What is the Gospel of the Kingdom?

Not only does it include salvation (the front door so to speak) but then what about after salvation?  What are we saved for?  What are we saved to?  Who am I? Why was I created?  What is my purpose in life?  Along with seeing what the Bible says we will also be taking assessments (questionnaires) that help us discover how uniquely made we are in our makeup, strengths, passions, etc…  “Identity reveals purpose.”  All these and more will be covered in the sixteen weeks.

Some have said ” there must be more to my Christianity than what I’m living!”  There is.  Much more.  Come join us on this great foundational adventure in discovering how uniquely made you are.  And what our heavenly Father has prepared for you to walk into, including an abundant life.

Come to the first meeting and experience  the Identity Project first hand and see if it speaks to you.

Join us on a Spiritual journey and discover your purpose.  Discover the powerful, life affirming Good News, and its deeper personal meaning .

If God is calling you to step up into the next  adventure God has for you, join us by contacting George La Du at  or calling 503.544.6166 cell.

Many of us have known Jesus Christ as Savior. Forty some years ago, my first year in college, I met a couple of guys from Campus Crusade for Christ. They shared with me The Four Spiritual Laws which I was very glad to understand that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. What I understood them to say was, “If you pray this prayer and invite Jesus to come and live inside you then you won’t go to hell.” I thought, man, this is what I need. So I made Him my Savior that day. Not long after praying this prayer and feeling very complete in doing something I knew was missing from my life, I went out with a couple friends, got a lot of beer and continued on in my merry way. I was thinking, “Man, now that I’m not going to hell, let’s party!”

I continued that way for three years. I was on a spiritual roller coaster. And during one of the “dips” on this coaster, I was realizing I’m still missing something. I thought I did everything I was supposed to do, spiritually speaking. If so, then why was my life still a mess? Why was I depressed? How come life didn’t have the meaning that I thought it should? This can’t be the “abundant life” that Jesus promised. Can it?
That’s when I made a commitment to God that I will no longer play act at being a Christian. I was trying to “keep up” with the spiritual “jones” at this church where I was going but it was all an act. I was acting like a Christian.

When I determined I didn’t care what anyone else thought but from now on my relationship with God would be real, authentic, something changed. Unknowingly I made a commitment to God that I would follow Him wherever He led me but it had to be real to me. I felt like He said to me, “George, I never wanted anything else.” From that day on I had made Him the Lord of my life. Lord means boss. Whatever He says goes. I may not know His will but when I do, I will do it. I no longer have a choice. His will now, not mine.
I had given him my will when we made this exchange. It was kind of like the exchange of vows at a wedding. I had chosen (and I wanted) to give up my will for His. It was much like when I said “I do” to my wife on our wedding day forty-one years ago. I was saying, “I give up my will to have any other romantic relationships in my life. You are the only one.” I willingly did it. I wanted to do it. I no longer needed to be convinced. She became my one and only and it’s been a wonderfully amazing life together!

Likewise, with my Lord. When I committed to Him as my Lord, I could now say, “It’s no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me…” Galatians 2:20 I am now able to declare that, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1Corithians 6:19-20

If I’m really not my own and it is no longer I who live and He is the boss (Lord) of my life, then I need to accept this new reality. When we make this kind of commitment, God creates a new spiritual reality with me. The above scriptures (and more) are the real truth and I need to accept them, and start walking out that new reality.

What does that mean? And how do I do it?

Have you said or heard the following statements,
I need to surrender more…
Let’s invite Him into our presence…
I give You my all…
I yield myself to You…
Holy Spirit you are welcome in this place…

All of these statements have to do with me, what I can do. It’s not about me but rather what Jesus has already done! I just need to open my eyes and embrace what He has done.

I can’t surrender more. I’m already dead.
I can’t invite Him into my (our) presence, He’s already here.
I’ve already given Him my all, I can’t give anymore.
I can’t yield any more than I already have. Everything.
The Holy Spirit is always with me and I with Him.

We need to realize that it’s not about a process of me doing… It’s about discovering what He has already done. Then walk in it and declare it!

“What I can do” is a servant mentality. He wants us to have a sonship mentality. What I can do speaks of operating under the law. Discovering what He has done speaks of walking in His grace that He has already provided. The focus is Him not me. Me and I speaks of the Old Covenant. What He has done speaks of the New Covenant, a better Covenant.

Now if we mean, I need to be more obedient, when I say I need to surrender more, then we can agree with that. But all in all, let’s take the emphasis off me and what I can do and embrace what He has already done. The devil wants to have us live under the law. Keeping the law is what our carnal man wants to do. “Show me what I can do to be holy,” our flesh says. But when we walk after the Spirit we are affirming it’s about what Jesus has already done. The Apostle Paul deals with this issue in Romans, especially chapters 7 & 8.

Let’s be clear, we are sons of God who serve Him and His people. My office is a son of God. My function is service. There is a big difference in being a son than being a servant! Are you a servant who serves or a son that serves? The son has an inheritance, a servant doesn’t. A son “runs” the family business, a servant serves in it only. A son walks in authority and a servant responds to authority.

So, let’s press on to seek Him and keep asking the Holy Spirit to give us revelation of what He has already done, what He has already accomplished for us that we might walk in that.

Are you experiencing the liberty and freedom you desire?

Do you find yourself compelled to do things you don’t really want to do?

Do you feel power-less in areas your life?

Are you thriving and living the abundant life Jesus died for you to have?

This special prayer ministry basically has three steps to freedom.

Step 1 – Preparation – this is where you begin to come out of agreement with the negative and seek God’s revelation of the roadblocks and roots – we deconstruct “dead works” in our lives so that we can reconstruct with the next two steps.

Step 2 – Prayer – this is where we come into specific agreement with you according to the Word of God so that you are now free to choose freedom in every area of your life.

Step 3 – Discipleship – this is where we stand with you in training according to the Word of God.

God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge and we often pray and expect immediate relief. We have been called to “complete our course” – which is a marathon, not a sprint. Often we don’t know what we don’t know. The Identity Project is our discipleship program that will help to strengthen the foundation of your faith and assist you in taking back areas where you may have not realized you abdicated your authority in Christ in your life. Then we train you to take your thoughts captive in order to renew your mind according to the Truth of the Word of God because there is no harmless thought. Our thoughts produce in our lives after their kind – positively or negatively.

This program is for all believers. To the young believer, we can help with your initial faith foundation. Some mature believers have told us they knew they had “cracks in their foundation that needed repair” and this program helps them to have a more solid foundation on which they can build for the rest of their lives. They begin to see more answered and effective prayer results and positive changes in their faith, families, and businesses.

Come join us and let us partner with you!

Jesus, our elder brother, is our example.

If we will look at the four gospels at every place where Jesus was doing the Father’s business (v.s. communion with the Father) He was commanding, requiring or calling for something to be a certain way. If our elder brother is doing this, we likewise might imitate Him, follow His footsteps in commanding, requiring or calling for. Scripturally, we are on solid footing when we do so. There are many scriptures that use the word ASK, such as Jn.15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” In the Greek, this word ask means to beg, crave, desire, require, or call for. The word ask has such a wide range. A good possibility that the Lord chose this word with such a wide range is because His children and sons are of such a wide range. When we are children we need to beg, crave and desire. But as we learn the Father’s business, we like Jesus, go on to require and call for a thing or situation.

In looking at Jesus going about the Father’s business we see him speaking (or commanding, requiring or calling for) to the spiritual and natural realms of life. Out of all the miracles we never see Him calling on the Father for help. A few times He calls on the Father to glorify His name but not for help. Jesus is not looking to the Father for help when He is destroying the works of the devil. Jesus knows who He is and that He has been given all authority to do the work He is doing. The application of power has to do with authority and Jesus has been given all authority.

Here are just a few examples of Jesus at work. Pay attention to His “prayer”.

The Leper–Matt 8:1-
The Centurion’s Servant–Matt8:13
Peter’s Mother-in-law–Matt8:14
The Sea is Stilled–Matt8:23
Demons Cast Out–Matt8:28
Paralytic Healed-Forgiven–Matt9:1
Two Blind Men Healed–Matt9:27

Understanding and receiving and walking in the authority that Jesus walked in will guarantee us the results and greater works shall ye do that Jesus got. Let us be clear. All that we do to destroy the works of the devil is simply an extension of Jesus Christ, Christ in us the hope of glory. We are the Body of Christ. It is His Body that destroys the kingdom of darkness and advances and builds the kingdom of our God and of His Christ! A new paradigm of “prayer” is offered here. We are not looking to the Father for help. He has already given it to us. We are commanding, requiring, calling for the spirit realm and the natural realm to come into alignment with the will of God, His Word, His promises.

God has chosen to use us, His sons to “execute the written judgments, this privilege have all the saints” Ps.149 Jesus has restored unto us the keys of the kingdom, to bind and loose. With these keys of authority, we are to bring the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. We see Jesus at work rebuking on one hand and blessing on another. Binding and Loosing might be otherwise described as Rebuking and Blessing.

Apart from knowing the promises of God, our inheritance, the Word of God, how shall we walk in them? Our ability to release power in the earth is directly proportionate to our faith. “So Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.” Ro.10:17 Do you have the faith to command the wind, call for a fish with money in it, heal the sick? We should. Jesus died so that the sons of God would be revealed. You see saints, all creation is waiting, it’s groaning for the revealing of the sons of God. When will creation see them?

Gal. 4:1-7, Ro. 8:14-19
John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

The sons of God inherit the promises and are doing the “will of him that sent me”. Children don’t do the Father’s business. They have stewards or guardians. Though children in the legal manner are “masters”, they are not able to exercise their “office” because they have need of maturity. They need to really understand who they are, who their Father is, who their elder brother is and as a family together what their mission is “whilest it’s yet day”.

When we speak of going on to maturity, we mean going on to, through and with the “elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” Heb. 6:1-2 Going on to perfection then means going on to maturity. One of the main elements of maturity is doing the Father’s business.

What is the Father’s business? Matt. 4:23 says, ” Now Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” 1John 3:8 states “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” Read Is.61:1-3

From the above scriptures (and others) we can see that the will of Him (the Father) is to teach and preach the gospel of the kingdom, heal all kinds of sickness and disease and destroy the works of the devil. We could mention many others here such as to “seek and to save” and “that none should perish but have everlasting life.” But suffice to say the above makes clear our mandate. This mandate or work or business of the Father is why the sons of God need to inherit or have manifest the promises or inheritance of God. The inheritance is what gives us the power and ability to “destroy the works of the devil”. Now that we see the need of responding to the call of sonship, so that we might finish his work (Jn. 4:34), let’s talk about how we release this kind of power that would destroy the works of the devil.
Stay tuned for Part 2!
